A No Money Down Real Estate Deal Doesn't Mean It Won't Cost

Now out of work or fearing a job loss, many 'wanna be' real
estate investors may turn to no money down real estate
courses for a way to make quick money, but Vancouver based
Rev N You with Real Estate founders warn against
it.
Rev N You with Real Estate founders Dave Peniuk and Julie Broad
warn their newsletter subscribers to know their real estate
investing objectives and understand exactly what they want to
get out of any course before they sign up.
It's the only way to ensure you get what you've paid for. They
should know... Dave and Julie began publishing their newsletter
over 2 years ago after spending $20,000 on real estate
investing courses that got them into some very bad real estate
deals.
Dave Peniuk, part of the husband and wife team behind Rev N
You, said "It started innocently enough - there was an ad on
t.v. at about 11pm one night promising to make me rich through
real estate. We'd already bought a couple of properties, but I
wasn't getting rich. I thought that this would be a great way
to learn some tricks and maybe even quit my job within a year
or two. So, on my lunch hour, I went to the hotel where their
free course was being offered. I was so pumped I didn't think
anything about putting down my Visa for the $2,000 weekend
course."
At the weekend course, they learned a lot, yet they also were
left feeling that they didn't know enough. So $20,000 in
courses and mentoring fees later, they completed one property
flip, and picked up two properties for no money down. Sounds
like a success, right? Wrong!
Over the next 4 years those properties plagued Dave and Julie
with thousands of dollars in repairs, fines and even court
appearances. Dave was featured in the local paper under a
headline calling him the absentee owner of a crackhouse! It was
a disaster.
Today, Rev N You is about to celebrate its 35th edition of the
newsletter. Each issue focuses on topics to help new real
estate investors achieve their real estate investing goals. And
as the real estate guru's promote their courses around the
country trying to take advantage of the current market
conditions, Julie reminds everyone that "These courses can be
great - you might meet people to partner with or even find new
friends. And you will learn a lot of pointers and tips. But,
before you spend a cent, make sure you know what you want to
achieve out of your real estate investing. Be specific and
realistic. If you aren't, you might find yourself going down an
expensive and stressful road you don't want to be on."
